What was the highlight of Lancaster Gate Hotel
Comfortable stay in a great location
I like the location and have stayed in the area a number of times. Thought the breakfast was quite comprehensive and liked the bar area which made a good space for relaxing and chatting. The room was comfortable.
It can't be helped but the hotel is a rabbit warren so there is a bit of up and down when going to the rooms

A comfortable stay and would use again
Location was good, staff were friendly and room was small but adequate with a trouser press, safe and hairdryer.
The bed was very hard and the breakfast was okay but there could have been more choice. Also the buffet station is crammed in a corner making it very cramped when trying to get breakfast. It did not feel leisurely

What was the highlight of Lancaster Gate Hotel
Not enough space
The breakfast was pretty good quality but the layout of tables was like a schoolroom. I was able to store luggage and the location was close to tube and bus but I wouldn't stay there again. Plenty of coat hangers. Hairdryer was in drawer and I couldn't find it at first. Could only use it at the desk set up as it was hard wired into wall.
The room was crowded. The bed was too big for the room. The light switches were not helpful as I had to get out of bed to turn the bedside lamp off at the main switch by the door. Then I stubbed toe against castors as I got into bed in the dark room. The tv was poor quality and sound was muffled. The bathroom washbasin was too big and getting off toilet seat was troublesome as hit my chin on rim of basin. The bath was too deep and it was awkward getting into it as there wasn't much space between washbasin and toilet.. The towels were poor quality. The bed sank in the middle. There was too much furniture in the room. Coffee and tea was poor quality and not so much as a biscuit provided.

Enjoyed the stay overall
Good location. Decent Hotel and Nice Room
Bed was too hard - uncomfortable to sleep on. Only one barman on duty at busy time, who was slow and inexperienced as well.
